Because there's never a shortage of things to do! Visitors and locals can easily find the best spots to eat, hang out and have a glass of wine or beer, and enjoy concerts, theater and the area's swinging nightlife scene. Several Napa hotels, bed & breakfast, and inns are just minutes from all the bustling activity.

Located in the heart of the Napa Valley wine-growing region, Yountville is the home of the French Laundry, a gourmet restaurant owned by chef Thomas Keller, with a three-star rating from the Michelin Guide, and a two-time winner of the title "best restaurant in the world" by "The Worlds 50 Best" restaurant rating organization.

 

Keller also owns another restaurant in Yountville, Ad Hoc. Michelin one star restaurants in Yountville for 2011 are Bouchon, Richard Reddington's Redd and Étoile at Domaine Chandon. Two other Yountville restaurants have achieved Michelin's "Bib Gourmand" rating, Philippe Jeanty's Bistro Jeanty and Bottega. The chef at Bottega is Michael Chiarello, who said: "For those of us that have to commute or run to the airport and back, it’s nice to come to a community that has almost everything you need within 300 yards."

"To stroll downtown Yountville today is to thumb through the pages of a Zagat guide." Gourmet dining in Yountville dates to 1977 when Philippe Jeanty opened the restaurant at Domaine Chandon, owned by French champagne house Moët & Chandon.

Rutherford

Rutherford is a census-designated place (CDP) in Napa County, California, United States. The population was 164 at the 2010 census.

Rutherford is located in the Rutherford AVA which is located in the larger Napa Valley AVA. The Robert Mondavi Winery is located between Rutherford and neighboring Oakville (though its corporate headquarters are in nearby St. Helena). Other notable wineries in the Rutherford area include Beaulieu Vineyard, Grgich Hills Estate, Elizabeth Spencer and Rubicon Estate Winery which was originally established as Inglenook Winery. The Auberge du Soleil restaurant and resort is located in Rutherford.

Much of the region's history is still alive in Calistoga, from authentic Victorian architecture to the city's famous mineral hot springs. In fact, its historic roots are so intact that the National Trust for Historic Preservation named Calistoga a "Distinctive Destination". It recognizes Calistoga as one of an elite group of American communities dedicated to preserving its town's character and sense of place.

Calistoga

St. Helena (saint hÉ™-lee-nÉ™) (Wappo: Anakotanoma, "Bull Snake Village")[4] is a city in Napa County, California, United States. It is part of the northern San Francisco Bay Area.

 

The city of St. Helena is located in the center of the world-famous wine-growing Napa Valley, 65 miles north of San Francisco. The area was settled in 1834 as part of General Vallejo's land grant. The City of St. Helena was incorporated as a City on March 24, ,1876, and reincorporated
on May 14, 1889.
